Support Spencer’s Fundraiser for youth in endurance sports

Less than 0.1% of the population will EVER complete a 100 mile race.

Join my mission

This summer, I am gearing up for two incredible challenges: a 100 km and 100-mile ultramarathon trail race. This is not just a personal goal, it's a mission to inspire and support youth sports in Hamilton.

I aim to raise $5000 to support more youth in discovering the transformative power of endurance sports. Join my journey and be part of a lasting impact on youth development through endurance sports.

Fundraise for kids

My fundraising initiative is dedicated to the Steel Town Athletic Club (STAC) cross country team, which provides many opportunities for young athletes. STAC covers 100% of the costs, including race entry fees, transportation, and gear, while also offering invaluable education and personal growth opportunities. Your contribution will directly impact the lives of these youths, changing their stories and empowering them to reach their full potential.

My Story

My journey began in Stoney Creek at Lake Avenue Elementary School, where my love for running ignited. Despite being diagnosed with ADHD and a learning disability, I was a fast runner, representing my school's cross country team. However, the lack of support for sports education left me yearning for guidance and encouragement.

Growing up, I relied on medication to manage my condition, which affected my focus and energy levels. This led me down a path of disinterest in athletics, replaced by video games and a lack of discipline. It wasn't until grade 10 when I decided to reclaim control of my life. I embarked on a fitness journey, embracing weightlifting and self-discipline, which eventually led me to join the Canadian Armed Forces, seeking mentors and pushing my physical and mental boundaries.

Now at 34, I have conquered numerous challenges, from half Ironmans to ultra marathons and obstacle course racing. My passion for endurance sports has become my therapy, offering clarity and a means to overcome any excuses life presents.
